The best wind direction for coldhams is from the east.
you can park in the Abbey swimming pool car park and just walk through
    the barrier onto the common.
or you can also park opposite the pet shop on Barnwell road and walk down the ally onto the field. i usually park here when the winds from the east as it means less walking and its closer to my gaff.
    maybe see you there bud!

    Hi there,

Sorry to jump into your thread like this but I think you'll thank me for it...

A group of us have started a new uk kite club and have just secured a 60acre flying site on the top of a hill near you guys, we have exclusive use of it for two years.

Its spread over two fields, one 15 acres the other 45 acres and its near here:

    MK41 6AE

Although we're based in Wiltshire our aim is to secure several sites accross the uk and offer club membership/insurance that betters BPKA etc. We already have two huge sites in Wiltshire and several more across the UK under discussion also.

Please check out our site, log in, introduce yourself on the Newbie section and find out how you can start flying there (and other places).

    http://forum.windywoos.com

The more people that simply log onto our site (FREE) and say hello in the Newbie Section, the more sites we can secure. If we get enough people onboard we can approach the MOD again for use of their land, but we need a few more names on the members list (FREE to join like I said).

With the wind in the right direction and in the right field you can get a fairly big run. Biggest stretch is maybe 500m? Hope this helps.
