    Wallop 08

After several meetings regarding Wallop 08 we have decided that we will be unable to hold an event at Wallop this year.

Organising and running such an event takes a lot of time and effort from many people (without whose help we would never have been able to do it in the first place) however, both myself and Mike are unable to take time out to spend on the event this year. We will (all being well) try and organise a National Event later in the season.

I've never been to Wallop as I've only started kiting recently.
But my kiter friends told me about Wallop as the most amazing thing!!
I guess that words can't really describe something like Wallop, you have to be there to experience it...
This would have been my first Wallop... shame it has been cancelled, I would never know what it was all about

    Max

P.S. Ped, I think you're missing the point.
It's not about a competition for the best Kite Festival: is it better Wallop or Just Add Wind?
It will just be one Festival less in our kiting calendar.
A cancelled Festival is never good news, especially when so many people were looking forward to it.
Sorry if it sounds as I'm having a go at you (I'm not )

Bummer. The disappointment felt by so many people shows just how good this event is.

Now what am I supposed to do for my birthday?
