couple of places, one is on deer park behind tesco's....not brilliant but ok for an hour or so, I have used the buggy there quite a few times, but you can get lads setting up football games in the middle which makes it awkward!

The other place is west witney sports field, easy parking flat field, works best on northernlies, any other direction its gusty due to bloody great conifers!
But it is a well used sports field so you get them Tesco's moments!
Again ok for a quick blast, spiecially on a summers evening, when getting to Oxford is a pain in the arse!
The other option is woodstock school field!
Get him to pm me if you want more info!
    Garry

I did have a list of my kites on here an my missus see it and gave me a bollocking, so best not to say anymore!

I wish I could have everything and the time to do everything

    May be kitesurfing?
Depends on how flooded it is at the other site?

And if the wind is strong enough?

yeah sorry so late out. Just got there, very gusty and now very wet.

Was just looking at that Nick, should be up for that. If there are enough people shall we sort out a caravan rather than camping?

It was very gusty, on the Access, no problem .

If we could get a few together I think a caravan would be good. I went to the last X-zone festival and couple of years back and that was good.

Lets see if we can drum a bit of interest.

    All the best

    Nick

    Hey all

Oxofrd then..Got a new Blade IV 4.9 a few moths back and got use to the whole power and pull and all that jazz but only in south park, a tiny little park in Headington. And you cant fly in Port Meadow (Stupid!!!!). Anyway this years Christmas money bought me a buggy and obviously there are very few places that you can fly in oxford now that the biggest expance we are all baned from. So i went looking for horspath and couldn't really find it. There where two places that i thought could be it, the big feilds that was the athletics place or the village feild that is further up the road that seemed very very small. Just wondering if you could let me know which one and if there are any regulations involved with flying there. Dont want to get into any trouble doing something that i shoudn't. Also anyof you guys do any flying on a regular basis there. Would be cool to be able to pick up some tips on how to fly and get better.

    Many thanks

Hi Charlie, the one you want is the athletics track one. If there is wind and light there is usually someone flying. It would be worth getting insurance and it is essential to wear a helmet! Keep checking this tread to see if anyone's flying there and if there is anyone there just go over to say hi. We are all pretty friendly.

looking forward to meeting and flying with you.

    see you soon.

main restriction is don't side across goal mouths on the footy pitches. You can ride across the rest of the pith but try not to do powerslides that damage the grass. There is a new groundsman and he is not as keen as the old one I believe so bes to keep on his good side

Thats what i said when this old lady came up to me after coming in after a session and took my number plate on my car and told me that she was going to report me to the council...only thing was that she saw me there the morning before and didnt think to say anything then and just let me carry on. Could have just told then that i wasn't allowed to do it. There are a few choice words i would use when talking about her but i wont talk about that now....

As for the Horspath thing, thanks guys. I think in that case i won't go flying there until i see someone else so that i dont destroy it for you guys. On top of that i need some help with the whole buggying thing. For some reason i havent managed to get a good go run at it. So expect questions when i see you there..

    Cheers

We should think about registering and booking the caravan then. Perhaps we could meet up shortly (Pub?) and sort out.
