    That was my initial thought, but you/we know where things are cos we've been on here a while. This proposal might make it easier for newbies to track down local sites, or even for more seasoned flyers who are looking to travel.

    I don't mind if all it means is an extra Regional tier in the Meets section.

    Exactly Plezzy.

    As Steve/Badger pointed out, its not always easy to know (or as easy as it_could_be).

    It would just be a simple extra tier, to help categorise the current threads.

    Can't you do a map of the UK with a dot on for each location and link the thread to the dot?

    When ever i search for the Southampton meets thread, which is on page 3 on a bad day. I see virtually every location in th UK covered in the 1st couple of pages.

    But there are far more than 3 pages of threads for sites, probably more like 10 pages. On average that means that people have to trawl 5 pages to find their thread, and won't automatically see the other threads coering nearby sites.

    If categorised with an extra top tier, your search would just be:
    South East England->Southampton
    and on the same page would be West Wittering and all the other SE sites.

    That has to be easier, especially for someone less familiar with the area?

    Edit: When I visited cornwall recently it would have been great to have been able to click on South West England and find all of the site threads that wer on here, but because I don't know the area to well and many of the threads were buried because nobody had posted for a few weeks, it was not possible.

    In my view this would be a very useful arrangement.

    If you want to see where the areas are, click on those that I have added weather / wind links to. No confusion then about what is in a particular area.

    I'm still quite a bit of a noob and have had to trawl through loads of threads looking for sites. Googled many of them and found that most weren't relevant to me so I can appreciate where you're coming from, it's time consuming and can get a bit tedious. It's fine for all those who have been on the scene for some time but for newcomers like myself it would make it so much easier.
    So that's a big thumbs up from me

    Looking great

    Will subscriptions move with the threads or do we have to sign up again?

    Everything is the same. The thread links you have favourited, subscriptions still stand.
