Go to Mable High Street and head up to the prom. Turn left at the T-junction along Quebec Road and follow this north - keep going some way , past the cinema and the holiday parks. Where the road turns left take the right turn to the roundabout in front of The Ferryman Inn. Park in the car park and the path up to the beach is just to the right of the Ferryman. This is Mablethorpe north end. If you get lost ask for directions to the seal sanctuary. Hope to see you there.
Enjoyed the afternoon on the beach yesterday - good to meet the two Andys and the guys from Pocklington. Left the beach in the dark but couldn't have one of the Pocklington guys walking back from Theddlethorpe.
Did about 45 miles - the Andys musta done plenty they had been there for much of the day.
It's too long since I went last - I have the aches and pains to prove it .............lol
Did you go Luffy
No, I went to fraisy and regretted it. There wasn't enough wind for my kites. Biggest I have is 5m so far.
I was quite miffed. Hoping to go soon though as soon as we get decent wind!
got that buggy together yet with the new front end, would like to see some photo's
I was hoping to get some pictures of it being used in anger but doesnt look like thats going to happen now for another week at least so will post some pics i took in the house. I'll get some up this week. Have to say the new forks look fantastic and the foot pegs are really comfy!
Nice one, when are you off to the sand pit with Sand Yeti
I'll be out there in a fortnight so hopefully this time in two weeks i'll be there.
I'm looking forward to seeing Ghaf Tree after having watched so many of the videos of the place.
Hey,
I went to Cleethorpes last Friday and perfect day for kiting. Had whole beach to myself and none of the dreaded lumps of clay there normally is. Tides were ok aswell for a change.
I was there yesterday and I'm not to shore where the clay has gone.

Hi there fellas, was thinking of having our first trip up to mablethorpe tomorrow , its a couple of hour drive for us and looking at the forecast the wind looks to be southerly then moving to south easterly. Is the beach useable with these wind directions or are we best to save our first trip for another day. Been looking forward to coming up to mable for a while now.
Hope this reply catches you in time. There is a pretty high tide at the moment so at low tide should be good depth of beach and if you choose your spot at north end Mablethorpe then you can buggy and board. You won't get any long runs with a south wind and if you want to go north or south along the beach be prepared for loads of tacking and running - we do get a fair few pools and creeks!
If it goes south-east enough this might improve but this morning XC has it south all day. Best wind for Mablethorpe is east north east

Hi Si.....its been a long while ehh....well I am now in work again Castlet I am having a career change......I was actually offered 4 good jobs within 2 weeks....and one of them was double the salary I am on now.
what else has happened? well I got sponsored by Cooper Kites full set of free race kites no less lol
I have made a new buggy....Dominator 4
So my friend although I have not seen you in ages, I have been busy...hope to catch you real soon....I am desperate for a good beach session, do you know its been over 6 months since I was last in a buggy....
Hi Carl
Well that is nothing less than you deserve and I am really chuffed for you mate. I know full well what it's like when your future hangs in the balance and you did right to concentrate on getting the job sorted. The beach will always be patient and you'll be back on there with one hell of a machine judging by the pics. I look forward to meeting up at Mable again soon and will be interested to see the Cooper kites. I'm still flying the same old gear but still lovin' every minute of it - as you well know.
Let's hope the summer winds are kind to us - I'd like the chance to make at least one or two of those long summer evening runs this year if possible. I'm hoping that next weekend may be good as have both Saturday and Sunday off but winds seem to be all over at the moment.
Many congratulations for your new achievements! Keep posting and catch you soon..........
Si
Mable Sunday everyone...10.30 in the car park...skeggy run is on the cards
