First time out this year and first time flying the 9m Butane, which I bought was back last June

Wind was fickle and nearly didn't go out, but glad I did. The butane was well behaved, although it was a long way from me on 30m lines (will go down to 20m as all my other kites are on 20m). Only clocked up 20miles, but way more than I'd expected.

Very muddy for quite a way out and beach is littered with, er, litter Worst I've seen it, but still good to get out on it.

    Roll on Friday.

bugger didnt think the wind was enough, hilbre down all day and now back on, will be down in the morning with mark, we both commented on sunday that the bank is covered in debris and if the wind picked up enough to allow 30mph+ buggying then it could get interesting
did you find the tree on the dragstrip?

Can you tell where it is yet?

well what a day, gave the 15 manta a proper testing, the wind sat around 10 to 12 mph and was cross shore when we set up slowly changing to about 45 degrees off onshore allowing for dairly long runs of about 2 miles. Mark had his 12m Yak and me my manta. Managed just over 50 miles with a top speed of 31.9 and with 10 mins to go that bwas going to be quickest of the day when a nice little gust came through, mark was out, i was on the ground and the sod got 32.5!
all in over the two mile runs there was VERY little too choose between the kites some runs i couldnt get away from mark and some him me, i think ive found my low wind kite and i love it!
