cut and paste from last year
The club was formed in 1989 as a result of local demand. It is affiliated to The British Federation of Sand and Land Yacht Clubs (BFSLYC, or 'The Fed') which arranges our insurance, officiates at a series of national regattas and selects the British team for european/world competition. The club sails on the East Hoylake Bank, a vast sailing site off the coast of Hoylake on the Wirral, which is one of the best sites in the country
Founded originally by a group of local sand yachters, the club welcomed parakarters (class 8, kite-buggies) into its membership, and all members share the facilities at the club headquarters and the sandbanks.

For more information on the club please visit http://www.wsyc.org.uk/

On a personal note I would say that the club offers a friendly enviroment for the novice or experienced pilot, the flying area is truly massive and can accomodate almost any wind direction when the bank is "dry". The membership cost is worth every penny, the first time you come back from a day on the bank in december to a large clubhouse with heating, hot showers, kettle, microwave, cooker and for those hot summer days a fridge (make that 2 fridges). No wind when you get there? well we sit and chat on sofas, surf the net on the club pc or fettle the buggies with the club workshop, its just not the same as sitting in the car waiting for the rain to stop!

    So whats stopping you?

    come and join the fun!

Not sure if Garrys going to post before the weekend?

If not i am willing to run the race Sunday.(any volunteers):-)
Club house 9.30-10.00 possible race start 11-12.
Sat would be a late start due to work commitments.
Weather looks ok but winds on the light side at the moment.
    Any idea of Numbers?

As all should of already been informed I will be running races on Saturday and Chilli Willi 2 hour enduro on Sunday

Saturday racing will start at 10:30 Prompt (10:10 Pilots meeting out on bank)but remember this is just meant to be help clear out winter cobwebs so if arrive later then just join in. We will race untill all knackered/Its getting to Dark/1 Hour before AGM due to start) So hopefully 4-6 races.

Sunday wil be the Chilli a 2 Hour Enduro which will start at 12.00 (11:30 Pilots meeting on Bank).

Cost of Entry will £ 3.00 (Less if enough turn up to cover my costs) and will inclued a bowl of my chilli afterwards (ready for results at 4 ish).

For thoise who havent raced before or dont want to take it to serious this is a good event to give it a try as its meant to be just for fun so people tend to be a bit more tolerant (well most of them )

A big thanks to Tommy for the info.

I was thinking about joining, but I only have midi tyres, would I get away with it or are the banks a no go for less than BFL's
