no, not HDR. A tripod is a must for landscape work, get that f stop up above 16.
Impossible is not a fact its an opinion...

All taken in kenya, march this year. I cant find the versions which ive edited. So these are the unedited, straight from the camera. First one is in waterproof housing, 1/2 in 1/2 out, just in case you didn't notice the steps in.

What i can tell you...for fact, that this is gonna be a tough comp!

    Abandoned boat on the dry

    Cap Griz Nez

    Hippodrome

All shots are done with a Canon 400D and a Sigma 10-20 mm.

Just like Dan, I found it very hard to pick just 3 shots because it's hard to decide which shot will appeal to most of the people on here. Everyone has a different taste, so the choice wasn't easy.

you would miss a fair bit of the metal thing (which holds the fishing nets) in front of the boat.

A bit late but I have not used the camera much this year and was struggling to find some non kite shots. The B17 shot is bit of a wildcard.
    Thanks for looking

First up, how much do you want to spend?

If you have £6K, sure you would get a very nice set up, if you have £100, then it's going to limit you.

What have you used up till now?

Kristof, when you going to do the vote thread, think you need to give it a good week to run.

2010, and it all starts again...

    Happy new year..

I'm now going to copy this thread, delete all the irrelevant posts and turn it into the voting thread. It should be sorted in a couple of minutes. Sorry for the delay, only arrived back home last night around 11:30.

    Happy new year all!

Sorry don't know that much about Panasonic cameras, found a review for it at the link.

Panasonic Lumix G1 Digital Camera Review

    Found it for £633 with 2 lens 14 -45 & 45 -200

3 Fps, is not that fast for action shots, and I don't know how easy it is to get lens for it.

Popular are either Canon or Nikon, me, Nikon, but it is down to choice, I have the D300, but started with a S/H D70.

    I know Tom on here just got a D3000 @ £510 with a 18-105 lens

Nikon D3000 Digital SLR with 18-105mm VR (VBA250KU05) - Warehouse Express

Not sure where he got it from, but he is getting on well with it.

You could then add a second lens

Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 Macro DG Lens - Nikon Fit (5A9955) - Warehouse Express

    @ £127 70-300mm

And still not hit your max £

Best thing to do is go into a shop and try a few out, see how they feel in your hand, and when shooting with them, or borrow one if you can to have a go with.

If you want any help on camera, post up a thread in the photo section asking on that camera, your bound to get as many answers, as if you had asked whet kite is best for...
