I think the Blade 5 is considered slightly tame in comparison to the blade 4, the 4 definitely pulls all over the window and lifts like hell, haven't flown a 5 yet though, apparently it has less float. Thats what I have heard. Mind you I am quite fixed on the blade 3 myself! Check out some online reviews of the 5

The Blade 4 is supposed to be the more aggressive of the two kites. The comment above about the 5 being less floaty is actually the complete opposite of what i've heard which is confusing. The 5 is supposed to be more floaty but has less pop so it won't drag you skywards with such force compared to the 4. I've only flown the Blade 4 and even then that was fairly briefly so can only make a comparison on what i've been told. One thing i have noticed is how many freestyle buggiers bought the Blade 5 then sold it after a short period in favour of the Blade 4. Suppose it's horses for courses though so depends what you plan to do with it.

I flew the blade v 4.9 back to back with my 4.9 iv in the wind i would exspect to fly that size kite 28 mph gusty & have to say the iv won hands down ,it didnt have what a blade should have pop!!!! all the same a good kite in its own right stable & fast on the turns good for people to learn freestyle on i surpose !!! same kite 4.9 v flown next to the 5m blur & the blur was the better kite of the 2 tested on the day better for handling and power go figure!!!!! for me at least its the blade iv that gets my vote. still a great kite !! seen a couple on ebay quite cheep ! well thats what i would spend my hard earnt cash on im sure others will dissagree..

i would go for blade 4 6.5m if was a choice between 4 and 5. it may be more aggressive but thats something you get used to once you do its loads of fun to fly and jump with. had a few blinding pendulums on this kite going up so fast everything going blurry, eyes almost shuting but held on till it stopped boosting me up and landed fine.
im not sure about the blade 5 stuff thats been said about it and reading reviews has made it very hard to decide if its any good or not. ive only seen one b5 4.9 that was in light wind it looked very slow compared to the b3 4.9 i was flying right next to it.

    Personally - I'll be sticking with my Biv's - that's my choice.

Check the link in here for an idea of teh performance in the hands of an experienced buggier - Blader seems to know what to do with a Blade V 6.5m
    Blade5 6.5m and Blade4 4m Quiver!!

So you can see they do work well enough alas for me I invested in a full quiver of Biv's and will have to stay that way due to poverty - still could be worse eh!

I over take my mate whos on BV6.5 and am on my BIV 8.5 usually up to 5mph faster when we race down the park! Always living him biting the dust!

And i challenge anyone on blade V 6.5 to try to catch up with me on my bIV 8.5 anytime. We can have a race at wallop.
    I am happy!

You ever heard the expression "Pilots win races, not kites" ?

lets take it on the field see who wins that race! we can put some symbolic money on it like £10 each who the winner is.

    ^^^only till 15 ?? ^^^^

    surely not... that's why they made a 6.5m, a 4.9m and a 4.0m

4.9m Biv in 25mph is "entertaining" to say the least - probably the sweetest spot for me and a 4.0m at around 32

used to fly a 2.5m Rage up to 55mph and jump it
