New kite landboarder in Glasgow curious about locations

Hi all! I've just moved to Glasgow from the Czech Republic (although I am originally from Spain) and I can't wait to try the powerful Scottish winds! :-)

From what I've seen here and after a couple google searches the best locations nearby are Irvine and Stevenston. How is it this time of the year? Anybody going this weekend or soon? Is there any other good location around Glasgow?

    Thanks!

That's the two best areas closest to Glasgow. Kiting has been dwindling up here for the past few years. As far as I know, there are still afew people use Stevenston but I doubt if there are folk there every weekend, as there used to be. It'll be a case of turn up and see what develops. I'm at St Andrews this weekend for buggy racing and there was one other guy there on a board, said he was up from Edinburgh and a few others out on the water too, with the Easterly winds.
