    Help With Line Length

Line length for a Revolution 1,5 SLE?

    The book suggest between 100 foot & 150 foot / 30m & 45m.

Local kite shop has suggested buy one set of 40m line cutting them if half, giving me just under 20m lines.

now i understand with foils the shorter the line the more control you get, is this the same for REV's or will it just ruin a realy good kite?

PLEASE HELP as I can't decide whats best.

Do as your Local Kite shop says, That gives you loads of control.

I'm greedy and have a set of 20's AND a set of 30's and alter to suit the conditions.

The 20's give more precision on a windy day, the 30's allow more flying time in lower wind

Gonna get the girl and kill the baddies, then save the entire planet.

Basically all of the above! Usual rules apply - the longer the lines the more time you have to react but requires more space, shorter lines do make for 'quick' reactions but you can fly in smaller space.

Personally I think 20m lines will be fine for just about everything you need - and a good 'default' length. Longer and shorter ones can be added to later. The only time you *really really* need long lines is for team flying - and for that 40m is almost an essential.

    Good luck.
